kara is one of my closest friends. we sweat together at the gym almost daily. we talk about eating habits & what we’re making for dinner. we share a love of thrifting & we both have chickens. she’s one of my favorite people on this planet. she also happens to be the amazingly gifted maker behind arch+craft, jewelry inspired by architecture & traditional crafting techniques.
to say i am in love with her work might be an understatement. i own three necklaces & three pairs of earrings, people. it’s an addiction. an addiction i happily talk about & wear on the daily.
arch + craft inspires me. i love the balance of nature along with the straight lines & tiny details each piece holds. i can wear an arch + craft necklace with a basic tee & scarf or a fun dress on date night. they’re versatile & funky. naturally, the honey pieces are my very favorite. psst, a great valentine’s day gift!
how was your weekend? ours was filled with cleaning, prepping for the busy week ahead, farm chores, good food, great friends & sewing!
we are so excited to share our new line of happy flags & garlands we have been sewing up in our home studio for the shop! we love a beautiful home curated with pops of color & what better time of year than the winter months to bring a little more joy into our homes?
we will be offering two sets of happy flags- the love line (first photo in this post) & the spring line (just up above). we already have lovely happy flags up in our home dotting potted plants & filling mason jars in celebration of valentine’s day! it adds just the right amount of happy to any corner.
we also have three rainbow garlands we will be selling in the shop. we have one pink, one purple & one gray. each triangle is hand cut with the most whimsical of fabrics.
we hope you’ll stop by the shop on wednesday to purchase a few colorful goodies for your home! we will launch the update at 9 am central time! yay!
i love creating corners with purpose in our home. corners that are fully lived in & enjoyed by our family & guests. we love hosting parties, potlucks, craft nights & more. it’s so nice to have this space for our guests to make coffee, hot cocoa & tea on a whim.
as always, my budget was small. thankfully, my parents purchased the keurig as a christmas gift for our home (thanks, mom & dad!). i had some money saved up & was able to splurge just a bit & spend under $150 on this project.
i re-used containers, including these jars our neighbor gave me, to hold hot cocoa, marshmallows & tea.
i painted the old dresser & added new knobs from hobby lobby. i purchased the large container that holds the k-cups from target for less than $10 & thrifted the sugar container for less than $1. i adorned my containers with brown tags & brown labels i already had in my stash.
i purchased the yellow mugs from ikea on our recent trip to houston. i just love them.
i am so happy with the way this little corner turned out! c’mon over & have a cup of cheer anytime!
