I’m Natalie Freeman. I’m wife to my cute hubby, Luke Freeman, & together we live on a small hobby farm in Fayetteville, Arkansas with our sweet pup, Huck! You will often find me tending to our garden, feeding the birds (yes, I’m basically a grandma), cruising in my old Jeep, drinking coffee with a good book in hand & planning our next adventure!
Over a decade ago, I started blogging to connect with family & friends back home in Arkansas while attending the University of Missouri. I met a handsome guy – also a fellow Arkansan – with large glasses & polyester pants – hubba, hubba! Two years later, we were married. I’ve never been more certain of anything in my life!
Together we dreamed of one day owning our own piece of land. Crazy enough, that dream came true when we purchased Freckled Hen Farm in 2013. We began renovating the old ranch-style house on a shoestring budget & blogged along the way, creating the very foundation of what is today’s Freckled Hen Farmhouse.
Fast forward to now & I am the creative director & founder of Freckled Hen Farmhouse, a modern-day general store that delights & inspires it’s patrons to live a simple & meaningful life. Alongside Luke, we lead an incredible team in running an online e-commerce site & brick-and-mortar in the heart of Fayetteville, Arkansas.
But I am not only a retail owner. I am also a podcaster & encourager. I share the nitty gritty of our messy yet purposeful life through simple recipes, decorating tips on a budget, body positivity, what books I am reading, lessons in entrepreneurship & the outfits I pull together from what’s already found in my closet.
Above all else, my hope is that this space inspires & equips you to create your best life one imperfect step at a time. —Natalie
