It’s so cold here. I’ve been surviving with wool socks, hot green tea, & lots of blankets. In the spirit of hopefulness for warmer temperatures & spring, I thought I would post these pictures from my mom’s birthday bouquet.

In other news, I am so thankful to be back to blogging & writing. Spring Break came & left so quickly. I had a long list of things to do, but only accomplished a little less than half of my lengthy “to-do”s. I did finish cleaning out my closet & reorganizing. Luke made a poster for our Art in the Yard Sale. It is so great! In the next month, I hope to make some earrings, print some photos, & possibly make a stamp & create a stationery set. We’ll see.
so. recap of my Spring Break…
-camping with Luke’s family. I found a beautiful piece of drift wood on the bank.
-quality time with my family in Liberty. We visited an adorable cupcake shop & a small garden shop where I found lavender seeds. They had so many types of bulk herbs & spices. Sadly, I forgot my camera.
-We planted our starts! The sunflowers are already sprouting. I will have so many fresh flowers on the kitchen table. I’m so excited!
-We went to a garage sale & found a cardboard box of old mason jars of various sizes & colors. I cannot wait to fill them up with found objects & wild flowers.
-Luke & I made dinner together almost every night. It was so much fun to set the table, pray together, & eat together.
-We also registered at Target for our wedding. We chose the most beautiful green & cream & blue textiles for linens. I can almost picture our home together 🙂
-Sunday service was what I needed most of all. The message was about anxiety & our struggle for joy in life. {This} is something I know will help me many times.
Well, I hope you all have a lovely Sunday. I must finish cleaning up my bedroom & prepare for the week ahead.
It’s almost 11 p.m. and I feel like I haven’t had a spare minute to just sit down & relax. I have so many little projects on my to-do list for Spring Break. For this reason, I’ll be taking a small break until Sunday evening. Thank you so much for your sweet comments on my last entry. It means so much to hear from all of you guys!
-fresh, natural ice cream from Sparky’s in the rain
touch:
-the warmth of the sun through my window
-soft linens & cottons on my bed
-new little projects in the works
hear:
-laughter & singing from Anna’s room last night
-birds chirping
-excitement for spring break

This afternoon, I’m leaving for a short camping trip in southwest Missouri. Luke & I will just be staying one night with his family & possibly traveling to his home in Fayetteville. I won’t be back until Monday, so have a lovely weekend; I know I will! I have so many projects planned for this break- taxes, beading, preparing for the Art in the Yard Sale, making photographs, & resting.
