i didn’t get back here on monday like i promised. or even tuesday. now it is wednesday & all i have is a pretty photo of flowers. at least it is {unofficial flowers week}, right?
my weekend was {busy} & this weekend will be even crazier. a mix of work, a wedding, a graduation party, & guests staying at our tiny tree house.
it’ll be an adventure & i thrive on chaos. so it’s all good.
i’ve got nothin’ to say.
classes are coming to a close. we’re working in the garden most evenings.
more than anything… more than reading outside… or having coffee by myself… or knitting a few rows… or taking my bicycle for a stroll… or even baking a dozen cookies…
what puts my heart & mind at ease is digging into the dirt, planting little seedlings, pulling out weeds, shoveling compost…
listening to the birds chirp, feeling the cool breeze on my back, conversing with my husband as we prepare another bed…
i am finding that i know myself a bit more with each day in our garden, with each shovel full of mulch & every row of turnips planted. the little successes & the many failures are worth it because we’re learning, we’re stretching ourselves, we’re growing.
