only up from here.

This morning, Luke & I woke up early & road our bikes on the MKT Trail. It was a beautiful ride. We road twelve miles by tan fields & blue skies, grazing cows, grey waters, & trees ready to bloom. After our ride, I walked to Broadway Diner on fourth street & spent an hour or so, slowly eating biscuits and gravy, fruit, & delicious egg-sausage casserole. It was so nice to spend that time by myself & clear my mind.
I was so inspired, last night, after reading {this}. The small delights truly are the most important. After three incredibly hectic days, I’m ready for spring break. I’m looking forward to a camping trip with Luke & his family, cleaning out my closet, getting ready for the Art in the Yard Sale, & porch sits with tea.
Today, I plan on cleaning up the house & planting some seeds.
Have a very happy Wednesday!
love,
Natalie

early morning.

I would like to share with you my favorite time of day- the early hours of morning. Sometimes it is very difficult for me to wake up. My alarm starts to beep, and I wish I could just fall back asleep for a few more hours. I most often get up, though sometimes the weight of tired eyes & a tired mind is heavy, because I look forward to my morning routine. I open the blinds & feel the warmth of the sun shining through the window panes. I put on my slippers & hurry to the kitchen. It is always exciting to plan breakfast, my favorite meal. If I’m in a hurry, I always choose homemade granola, plain yogurt, & fruit. If it is a relaxing morning, I love to hard boil an egg & compliment it with some bread, made by Luke, and a banana.
One thing that I look forward to the most about marrying Luke is creating a morning routine together. He’s an early morning riser like me. On Saturdays during the summer, you will find us, during the early morning hours, at the Farmer’s Market- purchasing fresh vegetables & fruit, honey, & free-range eggs. During the winter months, he comes over & we eat, talk, & meditate with yoga. Whatever the time of year, we celebrate in the few hours before most are awake- sharing our dreams, our goals for the day, our love.

a quick hello!

Hi, everyone!
I’m just stopping by to say a quick, “hello.” I’ve been very busy this week
with work, classes, & other obligations.
Tonight’s date night with Luke. I’m having a hard time choosing what to wear.
What do you usually wear on dates?
love,
Natalie
