i am enjoying carrying my little point-and-shoot camera around with me during the day. i don’t take the best photos with it, but it helps me to remember little parts of my day. these two silly photos are from last night before heading off to date night. we really like to “dress up” because it makes the night even more special. we had a great night eating at one of our favorite restaurants & going to the theater to see a movie.
we hope to have many more nights like last night in the upcoming week because it is our spring break! we are going to see our families, relax, make/eat good food, catch up on some creative projects, work just a bit, & simply enjoy the other’s company. it is going to be so nice.
to start the break off right, i am going to go make some cookies with {this} recipe. enjoy the end of your week! i will be dreaming about {this}.
on the first official day of spring, we were greeted with several inches of snow.
so instead, we celebrated spring in our home…
opening our windows to allow natural light to fill our rooms…
placing potted tulips to cheer us up…
caring for our healthy & happy little sprouts…
& wearing grandpa-style sweaters with the cutest umbrella buttons to cheer on this new season.
love, natalie
ps. spring holiday is approaching! with a bit of extra time, i might make a few spring music mixes as giveaways. i will let you know of the details soon!
happy first day of spring! happy weekend! i thought it only appropriate to include photographs from our trip to the garden shop last weekend. we purchased trays for seedlings, moss for making terrariums & one dozen local eggs. it is such a beautiful spot & i hope to stop by more often.
on another note, it is cold, dreary & rainy here. very different from yesterday. we spent most of yesterday outside, soaking up some of the rays & reading books in the park.
also, today marks the first saturday of the farmer’s market. due to the awful conditions outside, i’m not sure if they’ll be out there this morning. i’m hoping for some fresh salad greens & a few root vegetables, but i would hate to see the farmers out in this mess.
& finally… i have a request to make. over spring break, i would like to compile a spring music mix of sorts. i tend to listen to the same things over & over again, but i’m willing to change! & need a change, really. so, let me know your favorite songs for spring/in general. i’d really love some of your recommendations.
