since owning our home, i have looked forward to decorating our mantel for the holidays. twinkle lights & glittery reindeer? check! fall leaves & bright orange pumpkins? check! patriotic happy flags in old blue mason jars? check!
so of course when amanda, one of my sweet blog supporters, of amaginarium messaged me to offer a giveaway on the blog, i squealed in delight. people, my fourth of july mantel is usa pride aaaamazing. this usa corkboard is so cute! (luke even likes it!)
the usa corkboard came with a lovely little pack of arrows to pin onto the map. i added two blue arrows to ours – one to our sweet northwest arkansas home & another to our lovely college town of columbia, missouri.
she even sweetened the deal with that adorable corkboard arkansas sticker.
this map is perfect for the littles learning usa geography. get the kiddos involved by adding arrows to relatives’ hometowns! it’s also a fun tool for planning roadtrips & vacations! there are endless possibilities.
after the fourth of july is over, i plan to hang my little corkboard map in our creative corner. i am slowly working on this space, adding a big table for spreading out our creative projects & hanging art on the wall for inspiration. this map would also look darling in a guest bedroom for vistors to add arrows to where they live or a homeschooling corner in your home.
above is a little visual of how i hung the corkboard map – fabric ribbon, a bit of pom pom yarn to add spunk & hot glue. easy peasy, friends!
as always, our giveaways are super easy. to enter to win a map of your choice (this one, this one, or this one), simply:
3. within your comment, share how you would use your usa map!
i’ll choose a random winner on monday, june 23rd, & include the winner’s name here.
can’t wait to win? amanda is offering 25% off to natalie creates readers in her shop. just enter “STARSNSTRIPES” at checkout!

This is adorable! I would love to hang this in our living room. I have a small map collection and have never seen something so unique. (: shaina.stoltzfus@gmail.com
This is awesome!!! I've been looking for a fun map I wouldn't mind poking holes in with push pins 🙂 I would love to hang it in my office and put a pin in places my customers are from, or in our living room and connect pins with embroidery floss of our different places we've lived. Julieduke86@gmail.com THANKS!
This is super duper cool! (: I could use this for many purposes! At home and in my classroom actually (: my son could benefit also when it comes to homework and we can tag the places we have and plan to travel! Thanks for a really great giveaway!!
This so trumps our laminated map in our patriotic room! I would hang it right next to our American flag and our military photos….my husband is in the Naval Reserves. Not only would our grandchildren have an opportunity to learn their states, but our children can each use a separate color marker to mark the states they have visited! Yeah for this amazing cork map….and yeah for you young gals who have generous hearts! borowski@prtel.com
This is such an extraordinary piece! I love corkboards and maps, so this one had me speechless! I was an exchange student in Southwestern Missouri (five years ago, seems like an eternity), and was changed completely by that experience. I fell head over heels in love with an entire country and it's people, came back to visit two times, and now it's been two years since I last touched American soil. My heart is acheing to go back, but my college-emptied wallet is just laughing at me like "Nope, not gonna happen.". Not a day goes by where I don't think about the amazing people I met, the exciting things I ate and drank and the love I felt. #1 on my bucket list is to visit all 50 U.S. states, and I would love to use the map (the one featured in your blog post with the black outline and the state names in it) to keep track of the states I have visited so far. I'd probably add a little snapshot I took in that state, too, and hang it over my desk to keep me motivated to do my best in College so I can return real soon.
I love this USA map! I have a 19 month old who is going to be a big brother this fall and I'd love to have this map in his new "big boy" room! We also love to travel and our little guy has already picked up 10 states so it'd be cool for us to use as a teaching tool too!
I would love to display this over my mantle with cute flag push pins to display all the places we've traveled as a family. We're military so it's a lot! Like my mother in law always says, " when we grow old we only have memories to hold on to." 🙂 -georgette
This is adorable. We have family and friends all across the country. I would hang this in my living room and pin up pictures of each loved one in their own state. Thanks for the giveaway! Emilyhambelton@gmail.com
Those arrow push pins are so cute to mark all the special places ❤ So many ways to use it, as decoration on the mantel, hanging in the craft room or kids bedroom! Jenbrazel11@gmail.com
I would choose the usa map with the state names! My two year old daughter is obsessed with maps already. She insists that we sit under the one on the subway everyday and traces her little fingers along all the routes (she's even memorized where home and church is). I know she would love to see where we live now in relation to where we moved from and all the places our loved ones live throughout the country. We have plans to put up tons of maps on the wall above our dining room table and this would probably and with all of it! andrealanejacobs@gmail.com thelongwayblog.com

Hi, Natalie! I am a 16 year old from a small town in South Texas, so where I've grown up, life is a bit dry. (Literally – it's Texas.) Ever since 2007, I have been babysitting, house cleaning, and helping with office work wherever I can so I can earn extra money. My parents allow me to use that money to go out and see the world. So far, I have gone to New Mexico, Georgia, Virginia, Washington DC, Maryland and many, many other places in Texas. This summer, I will be traveling to New York, Greece and Rome. I would use this map to pinpoint the places I have travelled within the US, as a reminder of how hard work can pay off. I have a large, empty wall in my room that I would hang this map on. I hope you consider me for this giveaway. Thanks, Natalie! 🙂 julierakowitz@gmail.com
deistrom86@hotmail.com I love this, such a great idea!! I would use mine for several reasons. I also enjoy decorating for the holidays so it would be perfect for the upcoming Independence Day. I absolutely love this! I just got married in May, and my husband and I are big on adventure & travel. I would love to use this map to keep track of our trips and where we've been across America! 🙂
This is adorable! And, I favorited Amanda's shop on Etsy. Cute stuff! I would use this cork board to not only help plan family vacations, but to also teach Eli where all the states are. I LOVE maps and want to share my love of maps with my son so this would be an adorable start!
OH.MY.HEAVENS. This is amazing! My husband and I love to travel. Our goal is to visit all 50 states together. I've been thinking of doing a pin map – where we've been in one color, and where we want to go in another.
That is so perfect! I would use it to assist me when I make my states jewelry. I am always referencing a map to make sure I have the stamp oriented the correct way. 🙂
Oh my goodness, what a fun giveaway, I would hang in my hobby room and mark all the different places we have lived. We have moved ELEVEN times! I repeat ELEVEN times! We now live in Bentonville AR in what a pray is our permanent home. Hope I win😃
My oldest son loves geography and his cork board, not one from Amanda's shop, broke recently. I love your blog. Thanks, Mary Lou

I would love to have this map. We mark all the states we have visited as a family. We have 25 or 26 so far! I would hang it in the hallway with my State and World maps. Thanks for the great giveaway. Sharon slweare@q.com
I love how you've styled your mantle with this corkboard! I am crushing on the USA corkboard without names. I would use it on my Independence Day mantle, too, marking all the places our family has traveled!
Love the cork board map!! I would use it with my three kids to keep a record of all the states we've visited. Super cute and the push pins are super cute!
What a cute idea! If I won, I'd save the map until my friend's birthday and gift it to her. She lives in Canada but has family in the US, so she'd really enjoy this, as she travels there a lot and could keep track of all the places she visits!
Oh my word, LOVE this!! And can we talk about how cute your mantle is?!?! I would probably use this in a wall vignette, especially if we homeschool this year! athomeelise@yahoo.com
I love it! I have a slight obsession with maps but I would definitely use it to teach our son the states. Would also be great to pin every time you visit somewhere new. esmith@jacksonkayak.com

What a neat board! I'm Canadian, but my VERY patriotic American husband would love this! Every year we take long car trips to visit family, and go through 8+ states while doing it. Thank you for the opportunity to win! I would use it in our study hall area. edesign75@yahoo.com.
Howdy!! I am currently in school at Texas A&M to become a middle school social studies and language arts teacher first in Dallas, and then I hope to take my teaching career overseas, Lord willing. Teaching is my dream and passion and I am always seeking ways to make learning more enjoyable. The unlabeled U.S. map would be GREAT for my future students! I would love to see them "pin" states that they want to travel to or attend college in, or have visited in the past… I could also use it as a study tool and have them pin the state names or geographic features onto it! I am ecstatic at the possibilities 🙂 Thank you for consideration!! And for introducing me to this Etsy account!! BethVenesky@aol.com
Crazy about the flag map! I'd hang it above my desk in my studio and pin photos to it! Crossing my fingers and toes I WIN 🙂

OH. MY. STARS. This is pure preciousness!! I would love to hang this in our nursery that we're decorating right now for our first little one. It would be just darling!!
In love with this. I would hang with beauty right behind my antique globe on my travel wall. I'd start a project I've been dreaming of – cutting out pictures from each state I visit into the outline of that state, and placing them on there as I go. Maybe one day it could be featured in my future classroom!
I'd leave this board up all the time. It's so cute, and we're a military family. We have a lot states to stick a pin in. With another big move coming up in exactly one year, I think it would help my daughter get excited about the trip!
My husband and I come from large families. They live all over the US. UI would love to have a visual that shows my boys where all their relatives live. ~Patti, newtrigal@yahoo.com

What a delightful give-a-way! I just adore that cork board map! It would look so darling in our den, marking it with the places we've traveled to (and with those places we wish to go). tcupquilt at yahoo dot com
I love this. We've been homebodies for so long, that we've neglected adventures. We have been planning a few budget friendly trips and saving for them. I'd love to place it in our "hub", our computer and craft area and put a piggy bank nearby to save travel money.
I would LOVE to add this cute cork board to our RV bus. I would put a pin on our hometowns and all our favorite locations. Maybe even a pin in every place we have "lived" in the past 3 years of our mobile life.
So cute! I would love to have a map to add to my 4 year old daughter's room to help teach her geography. Her papa is a little map-obsessed too. Also, I LOVE your blog. You are one inspiring woman!
I'd love this corkboard!!! I can't decide whether I'd use it in the dining room where we do our school work…or in the living room near my large vintage school map.
If I won, I would use the corkboard to show where my guy and I have traveled, and also where our next trips will be! It would be a great way to remember memories from past trips, while looking forward to new ones.

Hi Natalie,
This is Hannah's friend Carissa! I found your blog a little while ago, and have really enjoyed getting a peek at your farm in Arkansas.
I loooove those cork boards! I've lived in 7 states and have friends and family scattered all over, so it'd be fun to tag meaningful spots on the map, and plan trips to visit them! Although it's a tough call between the plain map and the state's names, I think I'd go for the state's names map.
Omgosh I'm so head over heels in love with this map corkboard! If I won I would hang it in my craft space to track all the states I've been blessed to have customers in! Thanks for this opportunity! My email is: BubandNonnie@yahoo.com ~Amanda
ajkliewer@yahoo.com I'd love to hang this in my entry way to be able to look at it with my 4 year old & learn the states// talk about where our family lives. it's beautiful!
I looooove this! I love the US map with the flag across it too in her shop. I actually teach US History to 11th graders so I would either hang it in my classroom or my little boy's bedroom. Email: gunatsumdrof@hotmail.com
smklein27@gmail.com – I love this so much! I am slightly obsessed with maps, and I would hang this map in our living room and track all of our travels! Our goal is to get to all 50 states (We're about halfway there), and this would be the PERFECT way to document our journeys!

OH.MY.HEAVENS. This is amazing! My husband and I love to travel. Our goal is to visit all 50 states together. I've been thinking of doing a pin map – where we've been in one color, and where we want to go in another.

What a neat board! I'm Canadian, but my VERY patriotic American husband would love this! Every year we take long car trips to visit family, and go through 8+ states while doing it. This would be so much fun to plan our trips… And especially fun as our little daughter grows older to show her all the places we travel. theresa(dot)preus(at)gmail(dot)com

Hi Natalie,
This is Hannah's friend Carissa!
