january goals

in january 2013, i will:
– begin & finish my wedding album
– drink more water
– read one book

——
i am so excited for these goals! the wedding album is long overdue (almost four years, people!) & everyone could use a little more water. i really love reading, but i never allow myself time to finish a book. i like book people. i want to be one of those people.
happy january!
love,
natalie

Great goals, Natalie! Very practical, very accomplish-able, and yet inspiring. Go get 'em, girlie!

(I'll be following in your footsteps and posting monthly goals, too, starting on Monday!)

this monthly-goal idea is so so great. i might have to join this too. and your goals are so simple but just really lovely things to encourage in daily life. thank you!

girl, YOU'VE GOT THIS!!! I need to do a post with my goals… still mulling them over. a couple years ago I came up with a word for the year, instead of specific goals, it was: authenticity. I want to stay committed to that, and add another word for this year. don't know yet what it will be. I need to find (make) some quiet time to do some soul searching.

I think I will join you in this wedding album goal. I'm forced to do the water drinking goal by default 😉 I have been feeling so bad about not getting our album finished and planned on doing it for Christmas and ordering a copy for my parents but that didn't work out. I also really need to do my album for 2011 but maybe not in January.

How are you doing yours? Scrapbook style? I never can stick with that method long enough to finish so I use Picaboo to build and order them. On the plus side with that, if they were ever damaged in a fire or flood or something I could just order new copies, so that's nice.

    Happy January, sweet friend.

erin, i plan to use blurb.com – http://www.blurb.com/ – because i really love the square books with the wrap around cover. i also want matte pages & they have a high quality style that i love. i had big dreams of learning to be the scrapbook master & making our own, but four years later, i am actually being realistic. hah.

I made sure we got our wedding album done before our one year anniversary. I knew if I left it it would drag on for years.

Short and sweet. The best kind of goal setting, I think. And drinking more water – life changer!! All the body's systems are happier and work so much better.

Oh my, the wedding album. We've been married 8 years and I've printed up *one* photograph from our wedding. I don't even know where to begin. We thought we were getting a deal with just getting all the proofs. 800+ pics and it's just too overwhelming! I'm a perfectionist, but I'm seeing where that's getting me! I may need to check into your idea. I hope it turns out fabulous for you!

Love it! For some reason, I neglected my water habit during the fall, and had frequent headaches, was tired in the afternoons, and just wasn't myself. Nary a headache since I've resumed, and I have energy all day. (And it's FREE! You can't get much better than that.) Happy 2013!

I never finish books either and I know just what you mean! I am going to try to finish a book this month too. Thanks for inspiring me. 🙂
