luke & i shared a wonderful weekend together. a little bit of this, a little of that & a lot of relaxing. he came home early from the farm & we had an afternoon of tea & cookies. a great start to the weekend!
date night was perfect. dinner & a movie. what is your typical date night outfit? i usually rock a skirt & cardigan, but the work days have left me eager for casual nights off. i love my saltwater sandals & the
t-shirt was a handmade project right before valentine’s day.
saturday we woke up a little later than usual & headed to the farmers’ market.
the weekend was not complete without a saturday afternoon trip to the strawberry fields! we picked 4 gallons of strawberries. i made 10 jars of jam (look for the recipe this wednesday at tend!) with two gallons of berries left. any ideas? i am thinking a strawberry rhubarb crumble from here.
ahhhh, sunday. you are wonderful. i cleaned up the entire house while luke tended to the garden & made dinner. i hung the newly thrifted mirror & relaxed on the couch for the evening.
damn, that does sound like a good weekend! i say freeze your strawberries! hull and freeze them whole, or slice and freeze. i love using frozen strawberries in smoothies, oatmeal, or on top of waffles in the wintertime (i also defrosted some this weekend for muffins along with fresh rhubarb, yum!)
That note on the door is so sweet! Your weekend sounds pretty awesome. Wish I could eat strawberries, but I have been known to have some crazy serious reactions, so I keep my distance!
I can't get over how beautiful you are! And the little corners of your home. And the quiet moments you capture on film. Just full of life! I agree, some sort of dessert is the perfect thing for those strawberries. I would do a crisp or crumble, or maybe a simple tart or cake. Any thing you come up with will be delicious, I'm sure!

I can't wait to go strawberry picking very very soon here in PA! The fields just opened and I have lots of yummy recipes planned. 🙂
