we stayed close to home for most of the weekend, finishing projects around the house. we hung lanterns from our covered front porch, built trellises for our overgrown cantaloupe & watermelon plants, & other little odds & ends around the home. luke’s brother, joel, also came to stay for the night. this afternoon we had a ridiculously good time making produce bags from my stash of vintage fabric.

I love the end of a good home improvement weekend, and getting to enjoy what you did to fix up your place! I love those lanterns!
I haven't turned off my computer on the weekends yet (I might give that a try one weekend), but one thing I have started doing is only working on my laptop from the kitchen table or my desk, and not in bed or on the couch. This has had the effect of making me read a lot more, which I love! Also, last school year, I made a rule for myself that I would not take my laptop to school with me, and it caused an unbelievable increase in productivity for me. If I wanted to waste time I did it talking to friends instead of surfing the internet! I'd say that's a good thing. I got a lot of work done too, to be sure. 🙂
